Melissa Dawson, DO, MS, FACOG
Dr. Melissa Dawson became interested in women’s health watching her mother care for women after childbirth. Training as an OBGYN, she saw a pattern of medical issues she wanted to address through her work and has devoted her career to treating unmanaged, ignored and misunderstood conditions to help restore women’s quality of life.
Women’s health is multi-faceted and Dr. Dawson’s training reflects this complexity, spanning obstetrics and gynecology, urogynecology, reconstructive pelvic surgery, nutrition and menopause. As one of an elite group of physicians in the country providing comprehensive urogynecological care, Dr. Dawson has gained deep expertise, skill and experience in treating these complex female conditions.
Dr. Dawson is passionate about providing comprehensive care to her patients, treating their medical concerns in the context of their overall health and well-being. She recognizes the unique needs and expectations of each patient and develops individualized treatment plans to achieve their desired outcomes.
In 2024, Dr. Dawson, her husband and their two young children moved to the Reno/Tahoe area.
