Devoted to supporting community members affected by urologic cancer

Through our programs and support services, we help Northern Nevada families affected by urologic cancers. We work to improve healthcare outcomes for our community by raising awareness, providing essential education, promoting prevention efforts and offering support to local patients.

Prostate Cancer Support Group

Led by clinical psychologist Chad Doerr, this monthly support group aims to help prostate cancer patients and survivors:

  • Reduce feelings of loneliness, anxiety and distress
  • Learn new ways of coping
  • Increase feelings of hope and empowerment
  • Gain practical information about treatment and resources
  • Communicate better with their medical team and loved ones

When: First Thursday of every month, 6:00–7:30 p.m.

Programs and Services

Free PSA Screenings

Regular screenings are essential for early detection and effective treatment of prostate cancer. We offer free PSA screenings every six months for high-risk patients.

Support Group for Prostate Cancer

Led by a clinical psychologist, our monthly support group provides emotional support and a safe space for patients with prostate cancer to share their experiences and connect with others facing similar challenges.

Transportation Support

We understand transportation can be a barrier to receiving care — that’s why we offer transportation support to help patients get to and from their appointments. This includes mileage reimbursement and pick-up and drop-off services to ensure patients never miss a treatment or consultation.

Patient Education

Knowledge is power, and we believe that providing patients and their families with the tools and information they need is key to navigating urologic cancer care. We offer educational materials and resources, including our annual Lunch and Learn sessions led by a board-certified Urology Nevada provider, with insights on managing diagnosis, treatment options and ongoing care.
